传统的振荡器要求采用机械密集的工艺去切割石英晶体以产生特定频率的谐振。而对于大于125MHz的频率,传统工艺对生产过程较敏感,导致产品成本和交货时间增长 — 大约要14-16周。Silicon Labs改变了振荡器制造模式,可从单一的、具有成本效益的晶振和定制的CMOS IC生成任意的输出频率。例如近期推出的Si5350/51单芯片8路输出VCXO时钟发生器,在灵活性,抖动性以及功耗方面有了很大的提升,其性能优于4-PLL时钟,而且无需级联PLL和多余分立元件,通过专有的MutiSynth技术可输出8个任意频率,非常适合用于需要多个频率支持的器件。
